The 2023 Board meeting discussed important challenges in modern psychotherapy, teaching standards, guidelines and amendments to them in the context of these challenges, administrative and organizational issues of the association, and issues of clinical and ethical activities in the field. At the meeting of the Scientific and Research Committee, the Administrative Head of the Academy, Nino Kobakhidze, presented a report on the 11th European Congress of Integrated Psychotherapy, planned for October 2023 in Tbilisi.
„Since 2020, the "International Academy of Mental Health and Integrated Psychotherapy" has been the only accredited psychotherapy training institute in Georgia.
The 2023 Annual Meeting ended with the following significant achievements for Georgian psychotherapy: Georgian representatives were awarded the European Accreditation Certificate of the International Academy of Mental Health and Integrated Psychotherapy (EAPTI), the transfer of which was delayed due to the pandemic. Anano Niauri, a member of the Board of the Georgian Federation of Psychotherapy, will continue to work in the Ethics Committee of the Association as a co-chair from 2023. The European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP) was awarded directly to the Administrative Head of the Academy, Georgian psychotherapist Nino Kobakhidze, for the first time.
