Presentation event of the first EAPTI Institute in Georgia
On June 11, 2022, an event was held at Tbilisi State University to present the status of the International Academy of Mental Health and Integrative Psychotherapy to EAPTI (European Accredited Institute of Psychotherapy). The event discussed the importance of qualified psychotherapy education in Georgia, the problems of training in mental sciences, the ethical and legal challenges faced by mental health specialists, the importance of EAPTI status and the opportunities created for Georgian students as a result of its adoption. According to the decision of the Board of the European Association of Psychotherapy on March 12, 2022, the Georgian psychotherapy educational institution was awarded the highest educational category of the European Association for the first time. The status creates an opportunity for Georgian students to:

– Europe-wide high-standard training is confirmed by the European Psychotherapy Association, the European flagship of the field.
– After completing the program, students will receive the highest European certificate of psychotherapy - ECP - by direct award.
– The high status of EAPTI institutions is confirmed by the close cooperation between the World Council of Psychotherapy (WCP) and the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) worldwide.
– Institutions with EAPTI status enjoy a high reputation and recognition in the international professional community.
– EAPTI graduate education is recognized by the most authoritative European professional societies.
The International Academy of Mental Health and Integrative Psychotherapy thanks the participants of the event for supporting the idea of sectoral integration of Georgian psychotherapy with Europe.
